Welcome to Give Play Love! Previously, this space was used as a place for me to share and reflect on my undergraduate career, but I have decided to revamp the site to focus on my journey as an aspiring child life specialist.
First, THANK YOU for visiting my blog. Here’s a little bit about me:
I am a 23 year-old newly wed who doubles as a graduate student. In the last year and a half, I got engaged, switched jobs, started grad school, bought a house, lost my job, found a new job, adopted a puppy, got married, and accepted a child life internship for the fall. Needless to say, I run on espresso and a whole lot’a love.
I recently got married to my best friend and biggest supported earlier this month. I could do none of this without him. Matt and I live near our families and love to spend time with them; traveling to our family’s cabin, going to baseball games and hosting game nights.
I am currently attending Bank Street College of Education through their online M.S Child Life program. I recently accepted an internship for this coming fall and will be at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa as a Child Life Intern.
I have been working, moving forward, slowly, on this path to becoming a certified child life specialist since 2013. While this blog will be mainly dedicated to my child life journey and experiences, I also hope to bring you along on the crazy path of life.
That’s a little about me! More to come… 🙂
